Dr. Skrap's Completely Worthless Horoscopes (FEB 16 - 29)

Aries 3/21-4/19
While it’s often said that you need to be yourself, if “yourself” means you’re a 35-year-old My Little Pony fan posting about it on the Internet, it may be time to re-examine your priorities. Especially if you’re a dude.

Taurus  4/20-5/20
Yeah, you screwed up Valentine’s Day, and you got your special someone a bottle of Mad Dog 20 / 20 instead of a nice dinner, flowers and all that. Look on the bright side, though: Now that they’ve left you, the Mad Dog will get you nice and drunk for dirt-cheap.

365 Impact Awards
In three years of hosting the 365 Impact Awards, the event has really become quite the shindig. The overwhelming response to the first three 365 Impact Awards Shows was more than we at 365 had ever expected. In fact we still hear from our winners that receiving the Impact Award has helped them recruit members, grow their business, motivate their teams and for almost all of them that it just felt great to know that the community appreciates their hard work. First time attendees always comment that the can’t believe they have not been to the event before and can’t wait to do it again next year. Well friends, next year is here.

Trixie Kitsch's Bad Advice for the Stupid - FEB 16

Dear Trixie,
I am a sad and single man in my mid twenties. I can’t seem to find the woman I am supposed to marry and be with the rest of my life.  I am in good health and have an interesting career and earn a nice living. I should be happy.  I just feel alone and unloved. I see these happy loving couples strolling hand in hand and it shoots a pain into my heart. Here it is Valentine’s Day and I have no one to send flowers to.  And I probably never will. Help!
--Profoundly Single

Dear Profoundly Single,
Don’t let it make you feel alone and unloved and full of despair. You are only seeing the tip of the iceberg. Whenever I see those happy couples holding hands in public and gazing  at each other with rapturous intensity I know that this represents only 1% of their relationship. The other 99% is spent being resentful, angry and generally disgusted with their beloved’s personal habits. They say horribly cruel things to each other and heap guilt and recriminations at every opportunity.  Then they lie next to each other in bed stiff with loathing while not having sex. Single is not so bad.

Chocolaterie Stam
When Chocolaterie Stam opened this summer in the Main Street storefront formerly occupied by Café Manna Java (269 Main Street) it created kind of a buzz downtown.  There were plenty of questions.  What kind of place is it?  What is gelato?  To what does that name refer and how do you pronounce it?  Click the title for the answers to these and many more decadent questions in the 365ink feature story and photos by Mike Ironside.
Art Gumbo Recap
Rock and Roll memories from "Rewinder" we lost on Sunday...
One of the great performers at this year’s Rock and Roll Rewind was so moved by the reunion event that he was to put his toughts to paper and share them with 365ink. We were going to save those thoughts (and we still will) to use next year as we try to explain to our readers just how cool this event is for the performers and the spectators. We are very sad to report just a month after sharing his story with us, writer John Walachy passed away on Sunday, leaving a legacy a great music and now, these words to sum-up the profound impact that this last gig with the boys had on him. We think it will strike a chord with you too…
How a World Champion became a Champion for the World
A Voice from the Warehouse:
Photographer, Artist and Storyteller of Hope
Mike McCaskey of Chicago Illinois By Brad Parks

There are a dozen good reasons to be attendance at the open night of Voices this year but let me give you four more. Four stories of hope and endurance that transcend destiny itself, each made possible by one remarkable man’s choice to leave behind every advantage of wealth, education and status over 30 years ago to serve those who had nothing but their own courage and will to succeed.
